Terms of Service
The rules for using ScreenMocks.
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using ScreenMocks, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service. We may update these terms as described below; continuing to use ScreenMocks after an update means you accept the new terms.
What ScreenMocks Is
ScreenMocks is a design tool for creating App Store and Play Store screenshot sets: templates, real device frames, editable text and layout, and localized exports. The editor and the export both run in your browser; your projects and uploaded images are stored in your account so they open on any machine you sign in from. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a product of Apple Inc. or Google LLC; "App Store" and "Play Store" are used here only to describe what the exports are for.
Accounts
You need an account, created with an email and password or your Google account, to design, save, or export, on the Free plan as much as on a paid one, because your projects are stored against that account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at support@screenmocks.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You can delete your account at any time under Settings, Security.
Plans, Billing, and Renewal
ScreenMocks offers a Free plan, one recurring paid plan (currently Pro) and a one-time Launch Pass, all described on our Pricing page, which is the current source for what each one costs. Paid plans are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor and merchant of record: Lemon Squeezy, not ScreenMocks, is the seller of record on these charges and handles applicable sales tax or VAT, so the amount you are charged may include tax on top of the listed price. Plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle and renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Annual plans are billed as a single yearly payment at the discounted annual rate, not monthly. If you upgrade or downgrade, the change applies on your next billing date and any unused time is prorated. We'll email you before any price increase takes effect on your plan. The Launch Pass is a single payment that does not renew and does not expire: it grants the Pro feature set in full for as long as ScreenMocks operates, it is not limited to one app, and there is nothing to cancel.
What Each Plan Includes
The Free plan is not a trial. Projects, screens, canvas sizes, templates, device frames and exports are unlimited on it, with no card and no expiry, because rendering happens on your own machine. What it gives up is a small ScreenMocks mark on exports, and rendering in your main language only.
Both paid options (Pro and the Launch Pass) add:
- Exports with no ScreenMocks mark
- All 48 App Store locales, with per-language text, screenshot and layout overrides
- The AI assists (headline suggestions and translation)
- The Premium glossy 3D icon library
- The Figma Connector and the MCP Connector
Up to five MCP access tokens may exist on a paid account at once. Tokens are clients, not people: an editor, a second machine and a CI job. ScreenMocks has no team, seat, or member model, and sharing one account's credentials with other people is not what the tokens are for.
Fair use applies to the parts that cost us money per action rather than per pixel: the AI assists and other server-side features are rate limited per account, and there are ceilings on uploaded file size, stored assets and project count that exist to stop scripted abuse. They sit far above ordinary use and are the same on every plan. We may adjust these limits, and we may suspend an account whose automated use is degrading the service for others.
Cancelling and Refunds
You can cancel anytime, through the subscription management link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt email, or by emailing support@screenmocks.com and we'll cancel it for you. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work within the first 14 days of a payment.
Acceptable Use
Use ScreenMocks to design screenshots for apps you own or are authorized to represent. Don't:
- Use the service to infringe someone else's intellectual property or trademarks
- Attempt to access another user's account or projects
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the service or its templates as a standalone product
- Use ScreenMocks to create misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive App Store or Play Store listings
- Interfere with or overload the service, including automated abuse or denial-of-service attempts
- Share, publish, or resell an MCP access token, or use one to offer ScreenMocks to other people as a service
An access token acts as your account. Keep it private, revoke it in Settings if it leaks, and treat anything an agent does with it as something you did. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Your Content
You own the screenshots, text, and designs you create in ScreenMocks. We claim no ownership over your app's screens, copy, or branding. By using the service, you grant us only the limited technical permission needed to host, render, and export your projects so the service can work, nothing more. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for what you upload: you must have the right to use every image you put into a project, and you must not upload anything unlawful or anything containing another person's private information. Text produced by the AI assists is yours to use, edit or discard, and it comes with no warranty that it is accurate, original, or suitable for your listing. Check it before you ship it.
Templates, Frames, and Our Content
The templates, device frames, layouts, and ScreenMocks brand assets are our intellectual property (or licensed to us) and are provided for use within the product: designing and exporting your own App Store and Play Store screenshots. Your plan gives you a license to use them for that purpose, on every plan including Free. You may not extract, resell, redistribute, or repackage the templates, frames, or artwork themselves as a competing product or asset pack.
Some of that artwork comes from third parties on their own terms, and those travel with the export rather than with us. Device frames use each manufacturer's own published design resources, which are for representing apps running on those devices and never for suggesting that Apple, Google or Samsung endorses yours. Stock photography is licensed from Pexels under the Pexels licence: usable in your listing, but not for resale as stock and not to be presented as your own photography, and we surface the photographer's credit for that reason. Icons and decorative vectors are MIT-licensed sets.
App Store and Play Store Compliance
We build ScreenMocks to match Apple's and Google's published screenshot size and format requirements, and we keep it current as those requirements change. We can't guarantee that any specific submission will be approved: Apple and Google make the final call under their own review guidelines, and those are outside our control.
If you connect an App Store Connect API key, ScreenMocks uploads screenshots on your behalf and does nothing else with it. It will never create, edit, price, or submit an app, a version, a product, or listing text, and it never publishes anything for review; those actions stay yours, in App Store Connect. Your key is stored encrypted with no path that reads it back out, you can remove it at any time in Settings, and using it must comply with Apple's own developer agreement.
Service Availability
We aim to keep ScreenMocks available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may need to pause the service for maintenance, and features may change as the product evolves. Your projects are saved to your account, so an outage can affect your ability to open or save work until it is resolved. Exporting your finished screenshots at any point is the way to keep your own copy of the work.
Termination
You can stop using ScreenMocks and delete your account at any time, under Settings, Security. Cancel any active subscription first, so you are not billed for an account that no longer exists. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical. On termination, your right to use paid features ends and the projects stored in your account are deleted, so export anything you want to keep before you close your account.
Disclaimers
ScreenMocks is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScreenMocks and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost profits, lost data, or a rejected App Store or Play Store submission. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Governing Law
ScreenMocks is operated from Egypt. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be submitted to the competent courts of Egypt.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes, email account holders. Continuing to use ScreenMocks after a change takes effect means you accept it.
