Getting started

Introduction

ScreenMocks turns raw app screenshots into a polished, localized store gallery. You start from a designed template, drop in your screens, edit the copy, and export every size and language you ship in a single pass.

These docs cover the editor, localization, export, the Figma import and the MCP server. If you are new, the Quick start gets you to a finished set in about five minutes.

Core concepts

  • Project: one gallery, with a base canvas size and a main language. It can ship on several sizes and in up to 48 locales at once.
  • Screen: one screenshot in the gallery, drawn as a frame on the board. Projects hold as many screens as you like; the App Store shows the first ten.
  • Layer: the pieces of a screen: text, a device frame with your screenshot in it, an angled mockup, an image, a shape or vector graphic, and the social-proof widgets.
  • Template: a fully designed starting point you can bend to your brand. Every template is free.
  • Locale: a language and region. One design renders every locale, with per-language overrides where you need them.

Where your work is saved

Rendering and export both happen in your browser, which is why the free plan does not meter them. Your projects and the images you upload are saved to your ScreenMocks account so the same work opens on any machine you sign in from; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored where.

There is also a free tool with no account at all: 3D Mockups maps a screenshot onto a real 3D iPhone or iPad at any angle and hands you the PNG.
